"Traveling is a door to another world and a window to the lives of others. Let's just say that there was never a dull moment–and those moments will translate into the funniest and remarkable memories of my lifetime. Overall, my favorite experiences included relaxing on French beaches with artisanal pizzas, trying ice cream, crepes, and bubble waffles, the London Eye, a flamenco performance, and a boat ride across the Seine. Being able to experience so much of a different part of the world made me feel happy because I'd have never known all the beauty that lied beyond the walls of the little American bubble I'd been accustomed to."

"This experience helped shape who I am now because I have a new perspective on how politics look globally and what I can do to become involved. We took classes at the University of Amsterdam on World government, cultural understanding, and even a Dutch language class. I was able to visit the United Nations’ International Criminal Court, the European Union’s Parliament in Brussels, Brussels Town Hall, and both the Eerste and Tweede Kamers in The Hague. I would have never imagined myself in such powerful, political buildings prior to this trip to the Netherlands and Belgium."
